  • Cardinals Coaches Clinic and Pre-Season Meeting
    • Saturday, May 1st, 2010 at 4:30 p.m.
      Walter Murray Collegiate Cafeteria, Preston Avenue
    • Clinic facilitated by Morgan Reiter, Inside Pitch Baseball Academy (running effective practices, hitting/pitching instruction, conditioning drills, etc.)

  • Coaching Education Opportunities
     
    • Attention coaches - Please visit http://www.saskbaseball.ca/index.php?id=15 (and scroll to the bottom of the page) to view a list of NCCP coaching modules being hosted in various locations across the province. It's time to get ready for Baseball Season again!
       
    • Parent and Child Hitting Camp
      - ideal for mosquito and pee wee coaches/parents looking to teach their children proper hitting mechanics. This clinic is interactive and informative - sign up fast limited space.
       
    • High Performance Hitting Clinic
      - ideal for coaches who are coaching at the bantam and midget level. Learn proper mechanics, teaching techniques and drills that will benefit your players.
       
      Baseball Coaching Modules
      - coaches who are coaching Pee Wee AAA, Bantam AAA, and Midget AAA who need their Regional Coach Trained Status or Regional Coach Certified Status should register as soon as possible for the courses. More information on coaching requirements

  • Criminal Record Check form
     
    Coaches are asked to submit a criminal record check to the zone every 3 years. Please take this form and 2 pieces of ID to the police station. Once a copy of the record check has been obtained, please drop off at 136 Brown Crescent. You will be reimbursed for this expense. Please provide bill with your record check to ensure your reimbursement.

    NCCP Initiation Program
    If your Community, League or Association needs to certify coaches through the NCCP Initiation Program, Sask Baseball can help. Monday-Sunday availability, 4 hour course, $500 for first 20 coaches. $15 for each additional coach after 20.

    NOTE: Coaches must complete the Online Module prior to attending Initiation Clinic. $30 per coach to attend clinic for SBA Members, $45 for Non or Affiliate members. (Rally Cap training included) Communities wishing to host an Initiation Clinic will be invoiced by Sask Baseball.

    Baseball Coach Mentoring and Skills Development Camp
    If your community, players and coaches would like a more practical experience, try our new Baseball Coach Mentoring and Skills Development Camp. Invite kids (5-17) and parents from your community to participate in a skills camp run by your coaches the next day after they attend the NCCP Initiation Clinic. 9am-4pm. Day 1-Rally Cap Training for ages 5-8. Day 2-All baseball skills training for ages 9-17. Total Cost = $500/day + expenses. (Camps can be booked weekday evenings or weekends) Dan Kasperski will be able to facilitate this opportunity.

    Specialty Skills Clnics
    Sask Baseball can also work with your community to host Position Skills Clinics throughout the season for any aspect of baseball including Pitching, Hitting, Catching, Fielding, Team Offense, Team Defense, etc. Mix and match to suit your needs. Total Cost = $100/hour + expenses. ($500/day) (Camps can be booked weekday evenings or weekends)

    Just a reminder - NCCP Initiation, Coach Mentoring/Skills Development Camps and Specialty Skills Clinics are eligible for MAP Grants through Sask Baseball. Application forms available at www.saskbaseball.ca.
